Create chess puzzles online and share them with a link
The editor's board: you click a piece in the palette, then the square to place it on.
The editor · Chesspuzzle.club
With the Chesspuzzle.club editor you turn any position into a puzzle with its own solution, timer and leaderboard, and share it on WhatsApp, Telegram or by email. You need a creator account — club, coach or hobbyist — which is free. Whoever solves it plays in the browser, with nothing to install.
How to create a puzzle, step by step
Build the position: piece by piece on the board, or import it from Lichess with a puzzle's ID or URL, with the puzzle of the day, or by searching by Elo and game phase (opening, middlegame, endgame).
Enter the solution: in Italian, English or UCI notation, or record it by moving the pieces on the board.
Add the details: a title, which appears only once the puzzle is solved so as not to give the solution away, an optional hint and, if you like, a timer.
Calculate the difficulty: with "Calculate Elo automatically" it is Stockfish that estimates the puzzle Elo even before you save it. Puzzles imported from Lichess keep their own Elo, already calculated on millions of real attempts.
Share the link: the message preview already shows the board. On first access the solver enters a nickname, a country and an email; the password is optional.
Challenges, leaderboards and timed sequences
A leaderboard for every puzzle: every puzzle has its own leaderboard of solving times, so you compete on the same position.
Club leaderboard: anyone who opens a club's puzzles automatically joins its leaderboard.
Sequences: from 2 to 20 puzzles in order, with a single shared timer and just one link to send.
For clubs and coaches
A club can offer its members a weekly challenge with original puzzles or puzzles taken from the database, and get an automatic leaderboard. A coach can assign a sequence of exercises between lessons and follow the students' progress. Compared with simply setting up a board, the editor puts the Stockfish difficulty estimate, the timer, the per-puzzle leaderboard and the timed sequences into a single tool.
